ESSENTIAL COURSE

Once a diver has gained some experience (at least 18 logged dives), it is the ideal time to enroll in the

Essential course

This is more than just a course, it is a philosophy of diving. It introduces a more intense buddy system, thorough pre-dive checks, precise buoyancy control, and finning techniques focused on excellence and efficiency.

This course serves as an ideal entry point for Deep Diving or Cave Diving training. It is also perfect for divers who simply wish to improve their fundamental skills, such as trim, finning, buoy deployment, and more.

The course can be completed in two ways:

· Single tank configuration: Essential Rec

· Twin tank configuration Essential Tec

In both setups, a wing and harness BCD is used, along with a 2-meter long hose for the primary regulator, following the Hogarthian configuration.

PREREQUISITES

  • Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent) issued by a recognized international diving organization.

  • A minimum of 18 documented dives in the diver’s logbook.

  • Completed Diver Medical Statement.

  • Mandatory Diving Accident Insurance, covering depths of up to 18 meters.

COURSE PLANNING

The Essential Course includes a theory section, an equipment configuration workshop, and a minimum of four open water dives. The theory part can be completed either online or in-person, and the full course runs over three days.

The course can be conducted in a pool or open water.

  • Emergency Skills Practice

AFTER THE COURSE

Upon successful completion, divers will be qualified to dive without direct supervision, up to the depth allowed by their certification level.
