A Public Safety Diver is a trained professional who specializes in using scuba diving skills to assist in emergency situations. Divers in this field are trained to operate in challenging conditions, such as reduced visibility, cold or contaminated waters, and other hazardous environments.

The Public Safety Diver (PSD) course will train you to respond effectively in emergency situations, whether it’s searching for missing persons, recovering objects or evidence, or rescuing victims in underwater environments. We will help you reach the necessary diving skills and expertise to make a real difference in critical situations.

This course is aimed at rescue teams such as firefighters, state security forces, and special operations teams.

What is a Public Safety Diver?

Levels

Our Public Safety Diver course is structured into four comprehensive levels.

First Responder

The first level aims to train dive teams with the essential skills and knowledge for initial emergency response, with a focus on safely rescuing injured victims.

Level 1

Advance Responder

The second level focuses on conducting advanced searches for evidence or victims, followed by their recovery and proper judicial handling.

Level 2

Specialize Responder

This level aims to train elite divers in various specialties, preparing them to respond to diverse scenarios. It includes training in specialties such as overhead protocols, search & rescue, and more.

Level 3

The third level involves completing one of the following specialties. Each option is designed to address the specific needs of a rescue diver. Divers can choose the specialty that best aligns with their field of expertise, with the possibility of completing all available specialties.

Instructor Level

The instructor level trains individuals to become certified instructors in each specialty or level. They will be equipped to teach and guide divers in their chosen fields, ensuring high standards of training and safety across all levels and specialties.
